Fragrant Fresh Feeling (Ishita)

Time for festivities. Mithai. New clothes. Navratri. Puja. Dusherra. Diwali. Reasons to celebrate. Smiles. Colorful attires. Sounds of the dhaak (drums). Pushpanjali (offering of flowers to the deity). Yummy snacks at local melas (fete’s)…so much to look forward to!

And yes my favourite – Mehendi :)

Which brings me to the Word of the week – Fresh!

I love henna when it’s freshly applied. I love the fragrance. I love the cool cool feeling on my palm. Not that I need an occasion to indulge in my love for mehendi but yes, festivals and marriages without mehendi seem so incomplete to me!

Below is a pic from my trip to mussoorie with Uttsy. We sat there in that rather wet and clammy evening getting mehendi put on our hands … brrrrr… we shivered but loved the whole fun of watching the lovely designs and the attention we drew from the passers by :)

Ps: Festival preparations, travel preparations (going to my parents next month) and a painful nose piercing :’( experience have me all tied up. Please excuse my infrequent visits and late responses. Right now I’m way too feverish to hang around online for too long *sigh*

    beautifullllllll designs!!!
    henna looks so pretty when its just put .. and when the colour comes out .... but once it starts fading (and tht yucky orangish colour) .. its urrgh lol

    @ loony - yep those guys did a good job with the designs :) ... yaa i know when henna fades it luks quite bad :( ... ! nuthin good really lasts forever *sigh*

    The nose piercing-whew..that must've been some ordeal,but,then,when the end result is great,it's well worth it,na?

    tere haatho ki mehendi bohot taaza lag rahi hai... tere naak par longh bohot hi haseen lag rahi hai...
    kya batau mei tujhe ishi... teri yeh post ki photu dekh kar... mujhe apne yaar ki mehendi yaad aa rahi hai.......

    btw I didnt see that pic of ur's yday in this post! U look HOT woman! I love nose-rings and wanted to get one...but I dun think I'll pierce my nose..Im terrified of that. I'd just put a stud...wut say?

    @ keshi - m sure ur hands are nice kesh...i feel the same way abt my nose...lol I guess i figured i can't do a nose transplant so a piercing and a piece of jewellery wld make it btr?! :P
